We are committed Member-Shareholders of this emergent Holistic Community. We are inspired by a vision that by sharing our resources and skills we can build, organise and run a self -sustaining Eco- Spritual Community.
This place, situated within nine miles of Totnes will be a Centre for Holistic Education. That is a centre where skills, ideas, healing and knowledge are exchanged in workshops and courses open to the general public.
Many people have a great longing to learn life-skills needed to healthly sustain each other, children and the dear planet, to have an opportunity to practice and live this holistic philosophy in a rural situation. Our centre and land will provide the best environment for these life skills to be learnt, experinced and absorbed.
We intend to design and build our own `eco-homes` round the country house. During the build we will offer practical courses and workshops in `eco building` methods.
To use holistic education is also about holistic eco-spiritual way of living; helping to sustain the good earths eco sysytems. Not destroying them in mindless individualised consumption.
Eco Spirituality is the spiritual integration of human wellbeing and planetary wellbeing. Their inter-dependence needs to enter fully into human consciousness for both to peacefully survive.
With ever-increasing concern at how human beings are destroying the planet, we see an Eco-lifestyle as a means of healing the Earth.
We shall investigate, establish, teach and offer an example of ways of living co-operatively, harmoniously, sustainably and self -sufficiently with each other and the environment, for the benefit of the local and wider communities.
